Tin Whiskers has already challenged Urban Growler to its Brew-Off event–but now it’s Lynlake’s turn.
The St. Paul brewery takes on the Minneapolis challenger on September 23 at Republic in Calhoun Square from 5-8 p.m. Each brewery was tasked with brewing beers made with tamarind, lemongrass, and caramel–all ingredients voted on by fans of the breweries. If the event is similar to the first one, patrons can purchase a flight containing both beers and a sheet of paper to mark down their vote for winner.
This is a unique event you won’t want to miss. Need proof? Urban Growler’s Sticky Rice, brewed for the inaugural event, was so popular that it routinely makes it back to the brewery’s taps.

Our take: Tin Whiskers’ Brew-Off Event is a fun idea that brings brewers together in friendly competition, provides beer fans with unique concoctions to taste, and the power to vote on a winner of the competition. Not a bad deal.
